I wonder if that's just a practise thing. After a while, you'll probably actually be better with your tablet. A lot of these digital painting wizzs can really do detailed work.

Well, that's a problem I run into sometimes as well. You notice my digital work is much less detailed, lol?

I don't know about that. I guess only time will tell...

It's certaily a unique style, but it's very restrictive with the mediums it works with though. I don't know how I'd even come close to replicating it digitally?

It relly would be very not-cricket to not +fav a picture of one of you're own character, and what would be the epitomy of non-cricket-ness would be not +fav'ing a picture that awsome. ^_^

That's both very wise, and very virtuous of you. You're certainly better off with a tablet really, they're the way of the future and no mistake.
My arts generally reliant on a veriaty of shading techniques though, which one can only really get with a pencil. I colour with a tablet though.

Let's just say that i've taken the Victorian Steampunk approach to robot building, and havn't been entierly serious in the process. ^_^

I do admit that I feel significantly more in control with the pencil, but I need to get good with the computer this day n age I think.

ahh, can't wait to see your robot thingy!

Thankyou. I do try. ^_^

That's ok. I guess if you're used to just "doodling" these things out with a tablet then it's probably a lot simpler a process. Me, I'm just a sucker for good old pencil I guess, even when it comes to just sketching things.

And no problem, you're very welcome. ^_^

Yes I am. I've got it all penciled out now, I just need to do the shading, scanning and editing ( ie. the putting it all together on the right bits of the page ) So yes, I am working on it. ^_^

Perhaps. ^_^
It certainly appears that way. I can tell that you're putting some thought and effort into this, and I want you to know that I do really appreciate it. ^_^

I'm afraid I am ignorant as to the merits and drawbacks of dictionary flipping as a potential learning source. I personally however, find the best way to learn new words is simply to read complex books. A little Dickens, and you'll pick up far more elogant language, not that you are lacking in it.

That's true, being able to write well has lost a lot of it's importance. The way modern correspondences are conducted it seems like no one cares anymore. I can see why you might feel there isn't any real value to articulate writing.
I however, still consider writing an artform. A well writen paragraph is, to me, as beuatiful as any poem. While it may not be a necesity in life, it's a pleasent little extra that helps brighten up an otherwise dreary existance.

Most people ( especially those here on DA ) lack both the brains and the patience for lengthy reading. They tend to just ignore any big words, because they don't understand them, and are to insecure to admit they don't know by actually look them up.
As for the point, most people here don't seem smart enough to actually have, or understand, actual points. That's probably why comments like "cute" and "lol" are so popular, because they don't have any real points to hurt the brains of the simple and scare away the stupid. xp
If it's any concelation, I read every word of you comments ( generally more than once... ) and hope I follow and understand all your points, unless there's some really deep symbology in there that I missed?
But either way, if you spend the effort to actually write something clever and well thought out, it's the elast they can do to actually read it.

No, it doesn't actually take that long ( Although some of my longer comments can take an hour or more to write out fully! -_- ) but that's a good approach to take. Take your time, put on some good music, and relax. ^_^
I hope I'm not adding to any of that pressure to respond. wouldn't want to feel I was weighing on your time. I too am beginning to feel it's a chore to actually respond to some of the more mundane comments I get. Comments like this is always a pleasure to deal with, but the regular run of the mill stuff can get a bit to much like work.
I suppose the thought of a community of artistic conversation and debate much be quite an incentive. I can immagine DA would feel like that when you first came across it, before all the simple mundane-ness sinks in. Either way, I'm glad I can help you re-capture a little of the old magic with my humbol litterary offerings. ^_^

That's very dedicated of you. It's good practise, that's for sure. You're a good writer, and should keep in shape. That's a good attitude to take. everyone needs a little practise from time to time.
I tend to find that wit is, be defenition, something spontanious. It only really comes to you once you site down and actualy start writing. I find the hardest bit of writing is actually getting started, and once you start the ideas just flow faster and faster. Perhaps that's just my approach to the medium?

When you say I "give so little effort" I assume you mean I make this look so easy that it appears I don't even have to try, rather than I give the impression I don't really care, and am just writing any old thing without any real thought for actually writing something good?

Your friend's sister must have been very stylish then. ^_^
Oh. I'm forgetting that not everyone has ready paypal access. I guess you just take some things in life for granted once you've got them, like having a job or a house.
Good luck with that. It's always fun to go out and buy something you've wanted for ages. I find it's often more fun that when you actually get it home and open it. ^_^

Well I'm glad to see I'm instremental in innstilling the virtue of humility, although I don't really see it as overly humbling. After all, it's not only a watch, but an adding to the friends list, and if you're not a good friend to me here, who is?
